Watchin' the tube 'bout the disaster in the Far East makes one glad we're Americans. Ain't gonna belabor the point, but country raised millions afore the President woke up t'the fact there'd been a disaster! There'll be those sayin' ain't 'nuff, look fer some political advantage. Like hurricanes in Florida, people're sufferin', an' Americans rose t'the occasion! Media's done a decent job, except why have the same scenes been shown fer days? Heard Somalia on the African Coast got blasted, but no news from there. It'll take years fer these areas t'recover, mostly our money'll be there, an' like most things we won't git credit fer it. Credit is often taken, rarely given, y'know. Religious people givin' God's reasonin', but, when yer the one sufferin' y'might ask why God remains silent. When chips are down in our world, Americans come through with money, military comes through with person-t'-person stuff. Common people do great things, go back t'work. Gurus stand 'round, till things calm down. Amazes me how many gurus visit areas t' "estimate" needs when the biggest need is their muscles. Shut up, git away from the tube, an' help!!!! Polytical hot air never helped any problem. Nuff sed, banged that gourd afore, no one listens.
Now onta more common things. Great nuance is who are the people of note fer the past year. Sure, most of them picked in news supposedly did good things. Real heroes are local people who've attempted t'make life better in their communities. My choice'd be Ms. Bowdren or Ms. Hunter, both worthy. I'd much rather be remembered fer one good deed done than fame. Fame is transient, t'day's fame is tomorry's ol' news.
Although it's nonsensical t'note, Iraq war is Viet Nam driven by religious ideology. It's quite simple, Muslim Terrorists want t'govern their own way, an' anyone who objects gits murdered. Muslim religion's hist'ry has been that way fer years, although it's a minority doin' the damage. Until time Iraqi people decide they're tired o'what's goin' on it will continue, like it's been goin' on, fer centuries! Many of our young'uns will be sacrificed on mankind's altars of power, like has happened afore. Military power will never deliver democracy, it hasta come from people themselves.
Final thought on Mexican illegals: It's an invasion of America, abetted by politicians attemptin' t'obtain a power base. Fortunately these people wantin' t'work, replacin' our citizens who won't. Many become social service problems, kids hafta be educated, etc. America's generosity for mankind should be voluntary, not judicially enforced on taxpayers. Question is how many terrorists comin' in, an' why are our street casualties exceedin' combat? 'Nuff sed! May the Lord take a likin' t'yer in 2005!
