PRESBYTERY COMMITTEE OFFERS SELF DEVELOPMENT OF PEOPLE GRANTS

Start-up money for community empowerment is available from the Self-Development of People Committee representing the Presbyterian Churches in Allegheny, Chemung, Ontario, Steuben, Schuyler, Seneca, Wayne and Yates counties.
The Self-Development of People Ministry is designed to enter into partnerships with groups of poor and oppressed people who organize sufficiently to do things to help themselves.
The funds are available for projects that are organized and governed by low-income people seeking economic, or social strength and self-determination.
