CLIFTON SPRINGS HISTORICAL SOCIETY - OUR NEW PRESIDENT'S PEDIGREE

George Budd Mueller grew up in New Rochelle, NY and started coming up to his Uncle Norval Budd's farm in "Coonsville" at the age of nine in 1941. He has been in love with the Clifton Springs area, and its history, ever since. George married a farmer's daughter, Mary Lue Morgan from Linwood, NY in 1959. They purchased Uncle Norval's farm in 1963 and their family is now milking 1100 cows on that same farm that is now called "Willow Bend". Son John has taken over the management.
In the late 60s, 70s, and 80s the Mueller raised early market sweet corn and employed up to 80 children from Clifton, Phelps, Shortsville and Manchester to help with the harvest. For many it was their first job experience that has stood them well in life. The Muellers have recently joined the Nedrow family in starting up another dairy farm called "Spring Hope Dairy" 3 miles west of Seneca Castle.
George and Mary Lue's love of history has brought them to our Society.
