FLCC TO HOST BASEBALL HITTING, PITCHING AND CATCHING CAMPS
CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. (Feb. 10, 2005) - Finger Lakes Community College will be hosting a hitting camp on Sunday, March 6 and a pitching/catching camp on Saturday, March 12 at the gymnasium on the Canandaigua Campus, 4355 Lakeshore Drive.
The hitting camp, held on March 6, will cover the fundamentals of hitting and bunting. Each camper will have their swing analyzed during the camp and also have the opportunity to work one-on-one with an instructor. The camp will run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for ages 8- to 12- year olds and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. for ages 13- to 17- year olds.
The pitching/catching camp, held on March 12, will cover the mechanics of pitching as well as arm care and arm strengthening. Campers will be taught the fundamentals of catching and will be introduced to drills to improve their catching and throwing techniques. The camp will run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for ages 8- to 12- year olds and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. for ages 13- to 17- year olds.
The camp instructors are FLCC Head Baseball Coach, Bob Lowden, FLCC Assistant Baseball Coaches Nick Amatulli, Tony Perry, and FLCC Pitching Coach Bob Shaffer, along with the members of the FLCC Baseball Team.
