THE TEDDY BEAR PICNIC

On February 10, 2005, a Family Night, "The Teddy Bear Picnic" was held at Our Children's Place.
Mayor Bill Hunter, Midlakes Intermediate Teacher Assistant Sue Lincoln, and Mrs. Lincoln's granddaughter, Taylor Allen, participated in the children's portion by reading stories. Mrs. Lincoln and Taylor dressed as Care Bears to the children's delight.
The adults participated in a panel discussion, "Making Family Issues Bearable." The panel included, Brian Bushart, MS, Clinical Psychologist; Mary Kay Reals, LPN, school nurse; Jennifer Curran, BSW and Lynn Geise, BA, Family Facilitator.

THE HOLIDAY EXPRESS!

The Universal Pre-K students at Our Children's Place traveled around Clifton Springs viewing a variety of holiday traditions. They enjoyed seeing the five gorgeous theme trees at the Geise household. A crystal tree and a musical tree were two of the special ones. Butch Geise led the young voices in holiday tunes at the end of the tour.
After Christmas, the pre-schoolers trudged up the hill to the Gilman house on Pleasant St. to look at their decorations. The children marveled at the train moving through the holiday village under their Christmas tree. The display, originally created by Lester Gilman, is now continued by the next generation of Gilmans.
