Predictions an' comments fer 2005. (They're simply machinations of one's mind!) Here goes:
Draft will be resurrected, with the usual cop-outs fer the rich an' specially connected children of elite.
Corporate gurus will continue outsourcin' our economic an' manufacturin' t'foreign countries, particularly China. Within five years China will have an' economic stranglehold on America. Question: If outsourcin' is a good thing, why isn't some bein' sent t'Palestine? There's an answer, don't look hard!
Iraq will become more like a Viet Nam type war. Saddam planned this, knowin' American resolve doesn't hold fer the long haul. Took lessons from Ho Chi Min! Saddam wasn't stupid, seems our leaders were!
Congress will continue copyin' New York State legislature's governin' ways. Bush, Hassert, an' Frisch'll make bills, plop 'em on desks a couple hours afore adjournment, with sneakies like pork an' restrictin' liberties on 'em. Was one sayin' Congress could check anyone's tax return taken out? (Don't bet the farm!)
The Rove/Card political machine will announce Jeb Bush's 2008 Presidential candidacy at the end of the year. Rumsfeld'll be VP designate. The announcement will be praised by conservatives, an' Religious Right will continue their drive aginst atheism!
Hillary'll announce her run fer Senator a'gin, look fer Guilani or Pataki t'opppose her. Propaganda machine's all ready cranked up, usin' Rove/Card methods fer destroyin' opponents.
Media'll continue the assault on American values - CBS liberal, Fox conservative. Same-sex marriage an' homosexual values will be promoted, those aginst will be ostracized as bigots. Limbaugh's drug problems'll be swept under the rug, although commoners guilty of lesser crimes'll be given ten t'twenty in the hoosegow. Lesson here!!
Enron executives'll parade afore cameras, usin' high priced lawyers t'exonerate 'em. If found guilty, they will be pardoned by govmint officials. Money in the right places gets rewarded. Those who've lost 401(k) money will receive pennies on their dollar, be taxed at the total value.
Social Security is endangered, benefits may be reduced t'pay fer Congressional pork projects. Leaders will be rewarded for their silence about Republican agenda. Tax cuts benefits will extend only t'corporate, usin' promise they might reduce outsourcin'. Health costs will rise rapidly, many will lose benefits due to cost an' job loss.
Illegal immigrants will continue to plague our educational an' welfare systems. Mexican President Fox will demand from Republicans unlimited access to both! Courts will agree. Corporate gurus intent on lower labor costs will demand payment for past campaign donations.
Our collapsin' educational system will allow corporate executives demands seekin' foreign born tech people special immigration status. Higher paid Americans will train their replacements, an' be laid off. It's happenin!
Gov. Pataki's an' legislators will ignore upstate job loss and remain blind t'the wasteland of empty factories an' unemployment. Welfare will increase, benefits won't be reduced, that's where the votes are.
