LETTER TO THE EDITOR
|
Dear Editor,
I am sending you both this press release and some info and pics on the club's donation to the libraries of Wayne County. Please use whatever you can to help spread the word about Maury Warner and the fact the coin club exists.
Thank You.

Coin Collector and Historian Chris Davis to Speak at Wayne County Coin Club.
The regular meeting of the Wayne County Coin Club will be held at the American Legion Hall, 200 E Union Street, Newark, NY at 7 PM on Wednesday, April 6th, 2005.
Following a short business meeting, Chris
Davis of Newark will tell those present about his collecting interests-both coins and bottles and how those interests have sparked an interest in the history of the club's host village, Newark NY.
Because of Mr. Davis's intention to share his knowledge of local history as well as his collecting interests, the club wants to invite all the young people of Wayne County to this meeting. Come learn why we are here and about those that were here before us and possibly be surprised at what they used for money. The talks usually conclude around 8:30 PM.
The meeting will conclude with an auction of numismatic items. While the offerings are unknown til the night of the meeting they usually include US coins and paper money as well as foreign coins, medals and even wooden nickels of local interest.
Anyone interested in the collecting and preserving of any type of items used for money, be it coins, bills, tokens or even wooden nickels as well as the medallist art is welcome to attend the meeting.
Most meetings are attended by at least three members who are not only collectors but have been dealers for many years. They are qualified to both appraise and are anxious to buy numismatic items.
While membership is not required to buy or sell at the meeting it is encouraged. Annual dues are only three dollars a year.
