The boys' jv tennis teams begin the home season this Thursday, March 31, against Victor. Coach Webb will again be coaching this team, which consists of A.J. DeSain, Cody Schmitt, Tyler Coon, Tim Piper, Billy DeJonge, Mike Green, and Kevin Donlon. The boys' format is 3 singles, two doubles. Every body is needed for every match - no illness, injury or academic ineligibility allowed.
The varsity tennis team will be at Victor that day. They are again being coached by Maggie Hicks. There are some returnees on this team, and also one guy who will be fighting for a starting spot at every practice. The roster includes Evan McNear, Mike Cardinale, Andrew Flye, Peter Fellenz, Jason Kirk, Dan Cristofaro, R.C. Weston and Jared Austin.
The girls' varsity lacrosse team has their first home game scheduled for this Friday, April 1. On the assumption that the field will be ready, their roster follows. Most of these girls have been working with Coach Farr since this program started five years ago.
The seniors are Hilary Barnard, Meghan Clicquennoi, Alicia Gardner, Megan Linehan, Kyla Smith, Whitney Stevenson, and goalie Ashley Dodge. The juniors are Jessica Taylor, Ashley Rooney, Abby Oaks, Taryn Millerd, Erica Mays, Rebecca Jones, Leslie Gonzalez, April Ford, Caitlin Foley, and Whitney Dixon. There are also four underclassmen: Alex Oaks, Sarah DeHond, Maureen Cooley, and Katie Ostrander. Besides Friday's game, they also have a home game scheduled for next Wednesday, April 6.
The varsity baseball team opens the season at Penn Yan on April 5 and will host Waterloo on April 7 at 4:15. Coach Maher has released the following roster: seniors Andrew Flood, Doug VanderBrook, Tim Jopson, Kevin Lowry and Dennis Gilroy; juniors Andrew Wagoner, Jesse DeBoover, Torey Pieters, Chris Kauder, Jordan Wilson, Zach Maslyn, Mark DeCook, Craig Falkey, and Jason Adams; and sophomores Brett Adams and Neil Scheible. This team is hosting a spring tournament on April 21 and 22 instead of their usual trip south. Stay tuned for more information on that.
