THESE MOMENTS

April has kept its promise
To return again this year,
Bringing the kiss of springtime
With the blessings of good cheer.
The pitter-patter of raindrops
Awakes the sleeping flowers;
The robin lends his music
Through all his waking hours.
Perfume is wafting gently
On wings of springtime breeze;
I'm grateful to the Father
For moments such as these.
These moments of transition
From wintry winds of spring -
These moments make me happy
And cause my heart to sing.
