BOUGHS OF SPRING
By Mildred L. Jarrell
|
A song of Spring is in the air-
A promise to behold,
Curling tendrils seek the sun;
Green boughs of spring unfold.
And in my heart that song of spring,
Is in each bough of green,
For God is in the heart that sings,
And seeks tomorrow's dream.
There's promise in each bursting bud,
With blossoms yet to be,
Lifting petals one by one,
In springtime rhapsody.
The world awakes refreshed anew,
Again remembering,
That sweet rebirth returns to earth,
With greening boughs of spring
