The public is cordially invited to attend an enjoy an exciting program performed by concert artist, Cj Sambach, on the pipe organ at the United Church of Phelps, 58 Main Street, Phelps, on Saturday, April 30, 2005 at 7:00PM.
Known nationally as the Pied Piper of the pipe organ, he is especially dedicated to reaching the youth and youngsters of our society, so do not hesitate to bring your children (8 and older is the suggested age for full enjoyment). This is a program the entire family will enjoy and a great opportunity to provide your youngsters with an excellent cultural experience. Cj will explore the vast tonal resources of the church's organ and present delightfully captivating musical compositions during his program. Be warned: often children and adults alike are inspired to begin organ lessons after these programs.
His work and travels have made him extremely aware of the dwindling number of young people studying the instrument and pursuing careers in church music, adding to the widespread shortage of organists. Hence, he has decided to address this situation by sharing his love and knowledge of the pipe organ in a highly entertaining and captivating manner you are sure to enjoy.
This event is made possible through a grant from the Finger Lakes Arts Grants and Services and is free, but a love offering will be taken. Refreshments will be served in the church dining room following the concert.
