RECIPE OF THE WEEK

Macaroni with Ham and Gouda
1 pound macaroni
1/2 pound good quality ham, chopped
1 small yellow onion diced
3 cups heavy cream
1 cup good quality smoked Gouda cheese, grated
1/2 cup chopped green onions
salt and pepper to taste
Dice white onion. Chop green onion. Grate the smoked Gouda.Chop the ham. Cook the pasta in boiling, salted water. In a medium hot pan, saute the onions in butter. Add the cream and reduce for a couple of minutes. Add the smoked Gouda and let it melt. Add the ham. Add the green onions and a crack of black pepper. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce. Let thicken for a moment and serve.
