Poem of the Week
|
IF I COULD
By Ralph J. Adams
|
If I could take my pen,
And paint a picture for you
Take my pen and draw a sketch
Of the azure skies so blue.
With my pen explain the silent hush
Of the early morning dew.
And put these words upon a pad,
And relate my thoughts to you.
If I could explain the fleecy white,
Of every little drifting cloud,
Or capture the hue of the golden leaves,
That God so graciously endowed.
If I could explain the geese in graceful flight,
Or capture the beauty of a moonlit starry night.
To God I lift my grateful heart.
And with this pen I pray,
To make some lonely soul inspired.
With my pen what I write today.
