Media comments are unbelievable at times, but Pres. Bush showed why he shouldn't be allowed t' think fer hisself by blamin' Roosevelt fer agreein' at Yalta fer the partition o' Europe after WW 2. It's apparent Rove/Card must have the Hist'ry Channel blocked on White House televisions since broadcasts have shown how it happened an' why. Recent tapes have shown Russian policies weren't cooperative fer democracy, an' it's troops took part in rapes an' pillages when defeatin' Germans. Sunday (5/8) story showed when Russian troops were confronted by British officers over pillagin', Russian officer stated they'd earned the right, an' they figgered they were gonna fight us next. That statement from someone who were tol' they'd be fightin' Allies! Shades of Patton, havin' German soldiers stack their arms since he figgered the same thing. There's no sense belaborin' this'n. Many Bush's age don't know didley 'bout WW 2. Since Bush's reported readin' skills are suspect, mebbe Rove an' Laura could schedule some His'try Channel series. Bush don't know much 'bout Muslim his'try neither.
Another aspect is North Korea. If they have bombs, they're gonna use 'em on us! No ifs, ands, buts or mebbes! They won't use missiles either. They'll place it aboard a ship, route it through a Chinese port, loaded in trailers along with imports fer our ports. Our intelligence services don't know, nor should we have confidence they'll find out. War, as Hitler proved, is a function of an insane mind. North Korea's aim is to terrorize the US, retake South Korea. That's a given. 'Nuff sed on this'n, use yer imagination. It'll happen!
Heard GM an' Ford's credit ratin' is down t' junk bonds. Why? It's quite simple really. They let foreign competition take the market share away from 'em. In '68 when foreign imports had gained a small percent of the market, GM gurus dismissed it. Who were these gurus? Ever' company has 'em, called executives, an' their prime aim in life is pertectin' their bonuses an' stifle ideas. American auto manufacturers were forced to improve but executives din't listen t' common worker's suggestions or concerns. Ask any janitor fer a company if y' want a real clue what's goin' on. K-Mart is 'nother one, their executives paid themselves bonuses, let underlings praise 'em at the country club while business went down the tubes. Bradlees an' Ames among others. Met many executives in m' travels who think employees ideas are stupid. When visitin' company plants, they run 'round with their entourage with closed ears an' eyes. Executives should spend a coupla weeks as janitors t' larn what's really goin' on. Stuff shirted executives with closed minds cause more economic damage than a depression.
Final note? Marine bulletproof vests ain't! Our troops deserve better, ain't gittin' it! Humvees ain't armored ye either! Military Industrial complex scores a'gin! Wonder who wrote specs or fudged the data!! 'Nother pork contract comin up? 'Nuff sed?
