United Air Lines turnin' pension over t' the Feds proves why private social security accounts won't work, or should even be considered. Wherever there's bucks there's a vulture aimin' fer a piece of it. More threatenin' was the judge who stated it was the lesser of two evils. Govmint interference? GM an' Ford have high pension costs, how long afore they, an' other employers go the same route. Seems although people find ways t' provide fer their old age, someone finds ways t' lower it or end it completely. Lookit other workers, steel fer one. Companies go down the tubes, execs laugh all the way t' Floridy bank.
Private account supporters say people kin manage their own retirement savin's. In Chile people in high wage brackets made out, low salaried people lost out. Keating Bank scandal execs took major bucks, common people lost out. People involved were pardoned. Same'll happen t' Enron, exes will be pardoned by Bush afore he leaves office. Many company 401(k) plans prevented other plans. Employees who invested in company plans will receive diddley. Those in power take care of those who provided bucks t' put 'em there.
New bankruptcy law shows Republicrats kowtowed t' big contributors. Many bankruptcies caused by high medical costs by people who have health insurance! Check yer co-pays lately? Granted, there's some people possessin' multiple cards, but there's ways fer banks t' check who's abusin' the system. People who make a certain wage are required to pay a portion of their debts. Good, mebbe, practical prob'ly not. Like t' see lobbyists payouts on this 'n!
Vincente Fox's mouth went inta gear afore his brain engaged a'gin. Migrants were way of life fer many decades, some of us worked alongside 'em in Wayne County orchards. Machinery an' activists reduced their number. Those remainin' in the area used social programs for help. As their number decreased illegal replaced 'em, ideal fer corporations since they could pay low wages, under the table or t' the crew boss. Social security an' other taxes weren't paid, reducin' employers' costs. Young people frown on menial labor, encourage the use of social programs. Why should inner city youth work at minimum wage jobs when they kin hustle crack? Illegals are poor, need t' s'port their famblies. They go where the jobs are, work under bad conditions, send money home. There's politics goin' on here, an' workers gittin' the short end o' the stick jes like minorities did years ago. There's lot t' this issue, filled with corporate politics. There's future votes there, so they'll be legalized.
Media's done it again, Newsweek editors broke the story, etc., etc. Here's gospel on Media: They ain't independent, nor truthful as editors filter repetitive news t' git corporate policy, ever fifteen minutes, identical words from same sources on all channels. Media doesn't realize or care news may hurt or inflame people. They hide ahind retractions, ignore blame when consequences happen. 'Nuff sed!
