NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY
|
On Thursday, May 26, 2005, two Seniors and twenty - nine Juniors were inducted into the Midlakes High School chapter of the National Honor Society. The candle - lighting ceremony took place in the Midlakes Middle School cafeteria.
To become eligible as Juniors, students must have a cumulative grade point average of eighty - eight after two and a half years of high school. Students are also eligible for membership in their Senior year with a cumulative grade point average of eighty - eight. Students are then selected by a faculty council for membership based upon a combination of their scholarship, character, leadership and service to school and community.
