Elmer J. Maslyn
CLIFTON SPRINGS - Elmer Maslyn, 75, of Pearl Street, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2005 at the Clifton Springs Hospital Nursing Home.
Friends called Wednesday, June 1 at the Patrick Funeral Home in Clifton Springs. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered Thursday, June 2 at St. Felix Church in Clifton Springs. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery.
Friends may contribute to the American Diabetes Association in Elmer's memory.
Elmer was born Aug. 5, 1929, in Clifton Springs, the son of Elmer and Margaret Maslyn, and had lived in the area all of his life. He was a lifelong farmer, owning and operating his own farm which is now in its fourth generation. Farming was Elmer's life. He was a member of Farm Bureau and an active member of St. Felix Church. Elmer loved to hunt. He was happiest spending time with his loving family, especially his grandchildren whom he adored. Elmer will be sadly missed by all of his loving friends and family.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of Clifton Springs; five children, William Maslyn, Charles (Vicky) Maslyn, Lori (Alan) Norsen, Jim (Lisa) Maslyn and Janet (Mark) Wheeler, all of Clifton Springs; two sisters, Betty (Elmer) Gordner of Seneca Castle and Marjorie (Ted) Crosby of Phelps; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Maslyn of Clifton Springs and Joanne Maslyn of Farmington; 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Elmer was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph and Ken; and a granddaughter, Ashlee Ann Wheeler.
David R. Roll
CLIFTON SPRINGS - Mr. David R. Roll, 74, of 1650 County Road 43, died Friday, June 3, 2005 at Clifton Springs Hospital after an extended illness.
Funeral arrangement are incomplete at this time, and will be announced by the Cheney Funeral Home in Phelps in Sunday's "Finger Lakes Times."
