WHAT DID YOU DO LAST WEEK?
From Milly Converse
|
What a busy last week when it was cold and rainy. I'd purchased many flowers but failed to get them all planted because of the weather.
However, I had other things to do. You see I've been watching a robin guard her nest and soon hatched 3 babies. She seemed to keep them warm and safe as the wind and rain rocked the bush. The bird is just outside my kitchen window so I could keep an eye on them. Now they've left their nest to explore greater things.
Then one morning my son, Scott, told me to get on my computer and log on to kodakbird.com2005 and I was able to see 5 baby falcons. They were on top of the Kodak building on State St. They were the new family of Merish and Kaven and will be named and banded to provide info on their movements year round. Banding day will be June 2nd. This, to me is so interesting to see if they return again. Kodak cameras are on them constantly. Log on and enjoy.
