NAZARETH STUDENTS INDUCTED INTO BUSINESS HONOR SOCIETIES
|
Nazareth College is proud to announce that students from its School of Management were recently inducted into Sigma Beta Delta, an international honor society in business, management and administration. Sigma Beta Delta was established to honor students who have attained superior records in business programs in schools and colleges with regional accreditation. The following students are the 2005 honorees:

- Andrew Logue, Geneva, N.Y.
- Bethany Nickoloff, Victor, N.Y.
- Jeffrey Sutton, Alton, N.Y.
- Michelle Towner, South Plymouth, N.Y.
Craig Michael Bruno and Brian Gaffney of Pittsford, N.Y. received the Robert Miller Entrepreneurial Partners Scholarship. The scholarship was established by the Entrepreneurial Partnership (EP) at Nazareth College. The EP consists of twenty entrepreneurs from the Rochester area that generously give of their time, financial support and expertise in support of the Nazareth College School of Management. They work to promote the infusion of entrepreneurship into the Nazareth curriculum and other college activities. The two annual scholarships were established to honor Robert A. Miller, president of Nazareth College.
Bethany Nickoloff and Michael Scalise of Utica, N.Y. received the Small Business Council Scholarship. Nazareth College's School of Management and the Small Business Council (SBA) of Rochester have been working together to promote entrepreneurship in the business curriculum. As a result, the SBA awards a scholarship to two students enrolled in a business program. The two recipients attend the Small Business Council luncheon to receive the scholarship award.
Additionally, several business students were inducted into Omicron Delta Epsilon (ODE), one of the world's largest academic honor societies. ODE recognizes outstanding achievements in economics. The following students are the 2005 honorees:

- Jeremy Williams, Sidney, N.Y.
Kathleen Bloss of Clifton Park, N.Y. received the prestigious William G. McGowan Scholarship. William G. McGowan was founder and Chairman of MCI Communications Corporation. The McGowan Charitable Trust provides a full one-year scholarship for a business major to recognize academic achievement, encourage leadership ability, interpersonal skills and significant involvement in academic, campus, and community activities; reward excellence of character; and increase awareness of the contribution made by William G. McGowan to the fields of business, telecommunications and entrepreneurship.
