There's great joy in USAville, Deep Throat's been identified!!!! Viewpoints expressed by Media's neck-tied gurus it was wonderful. Most people don't care!
There's considerable downside here. Bear with me: The number two man in FBI gave information 'bout an investigation t' reporters. What was his reasons? Should Washington Post printed it? Neither matters. What does matter is they almost created a constitutional crisis at highest levels indicatin' FBI kin nail anybody, anytime they choose, good or bad data, don't matter . (We know that!) Deep Throat had a mission, grabbin' illicit fame when it was given.
Media reporters have created an industry of "lookit what we did" self praise. Awards heaped upon 'em warn't fer not doin' their job, but allowin' unnamed govmint officials t' use them fer personal vendettas. Done alla the time. A "hang the high official" industry was created throughout Media. Clinton's Presidency win in '92 created immediate searches for wrongdoin' by his entire fambly. Reason apparent later: Elder Bush selected by Media for a second term. Eight years an' millions of dollars were spent investigatin' Clinton, his wife an' his associates. Acquaintances were tole their testimony hadta satisfy investigators data or they'd be jailed. Clinton beat Media, although legal bills nearly bankrupted him. Justified? Depends upon which side of the fence yer on. Now Media industry, in concert with Rove/Card political machine is aimin' at Clinton's wife! If by chance she wins Presidency kin y' imagine Media circus fer her four or eight years?
Net result of Deep Throat was Media became "witch hunters" probin' fer undesirables. Swift Boat type groups were formed to feed information t' Media for specific aims. Destroyin' reputations din't matter, only disgracin' their target. The Rove/Card political machine ruined three war veterans enroute t' the White House while able t' out a CIA agent an' hide Pres. Bush's military attendance records. Will either be resolved? Don't bet the farm.
Gulf War run up showed extent of Media disinformation. Data was allowed out t' substantiate war by govmint officials. Dissenters were vilified, ignorin' potential problems which developed. Rumsfeld forced a dissenter t' resign in disgrace! Media doesn't publish Muslims teach hatred, destroy Christian churches, an' our religious books. How long has this been goin' on? Decades, except it doesn't play in Medialand.
Will things change? No! Media an' high govmint officials t'gether kin destroy any one they choose. Nixon was first, Clinton was second, an' Hillary'll be third. No matter one's leanin's it's wrong t' destroy authority by so-called "responsible" journalism. For when authority is destroyed, like the manner Bernstein an 'Woodard did in concert with their editors, it laid the groundwork fer the Limbaugh's type journalism. Not fair, one dimension. Reporters should have used other methods of their trade. Hillary's opponent bein' selected by Rove?
Never 'nuff sed!
