FLCC TO OFFER ONLINE SUMMER COURSE ON COLLEGE SUCCESS STRATEGIES
CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. (June 9, 2005) - Finger Lakes Community College will be offering a Suny Learning Network (SLN) course this summer for students interested in solidifying skills and strategies necessary for college success. Introduction to College Studies, taught by Professor of Developmental Studies, Karen O'Donnell, will begin June 27 and end August 5.
The class will cover topics ranging from goal setting and time management to textbook note taking, test-taking strategies, as well as researching and writing a college-level paper. Research has shown that students who obtain these skills are more successful in their college classes.
