HALCO PRESIDENT NAMED BUILDING ANALYST & SHELL SPECIALIST
|
Hal Smith, president of Halco Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning, has been designated a Building Analyst and Building Shell Specialist by the Building Performance Institute (BPI).
The designation was granted by BPI after Smith successfully completed an 11-day course conducted by BPI. The course trained Smith in building science, and prepared him to consider the complete environment when designing the heating and air conditioning systems for a building.
The course, which was taught at Monroe BOCES II in Spencerport, included hands-on experience as well as lectures. Testing was conducted throughout the process.
Halco, one of the largest residential and commercial plumbing, heating and air conditioning contractors in the Finger Lakes area, employs 120 people.
Halco, which is headquartered in Phelps and has offices in Ithaca and Cortland, was established in 1984.
