McGhans 9
Halfway Haus 6
*******************
For the second week of games in a row, McGhan's has had a close game, with another tough game coming up next week against second place team Monroe-Gorman Title/Wendys. In this one, Halfway Haus pulled ahead of McGhan's in the fifth, but McGhan's drive to remain undefeated carried them to another victory. For McGhans: Jenn Cooper went 4-4 with a triple, Sarah Housel went 2-4 with a triple. For Halfway Haus: Stacy Steele had a triple, Christina French and Wendy Newforck both contributed with solid base hits.

Patchen Upper Deckers 23
Heiser BG's 5

Patchen Upper Deckers bats were hot on a hot summer night in July during the last game of segment one to tie Heiser for sixth place to claim in an attempt to claim the last spot in the top brackets going into segment two. For Patchen: Wendy Wright went 4-4 with a triple, Tina Bajadas had a double, and Melinda Fay contributed with a triple and a single.

Monroe - Gorman / Wendys 23
Canandaigua National Bank 9
*******************
Monroe-Gorman took another win despite the high humidity, heat and the persistent horse flies. Annette Parson belted out a home run. Kim Washington revived herself after striking out with a triple and a smooth catch in right field. Barb Koelling returned strong after a shoulder injury with 4 for 5, 1 RBI and an excellent tag at home plate. Tracy Miller went 5 for 5, with 2 RBIs, Tesha Parson with 4 for 5 and 3 RBIs. 3 batters, 3batters out, equals 3 great catches by outfielders Tesha Parson, Heidi Brague, Lisa Feiock. For CNB: Donna Leone went 3-3.

Thompson Health 21
Clipper/C&C Enterprises 0
*******************
Thompson Health had good solid hits all night and led the game defensively with Kim Pozzanghera's pitching. For Clipper/C&C Enterprises, a two game win streak ended, but good team spirit and improved skills will make games for Clipper/C&C Enterprises much more competitive in segment two.

Mickey Finns 7
Curves 0
*******************
Mickey Finns wins a forfeit game against Curves, after Curves didn't have enough players. Tip of the hat to Mickey Finns who was trying to go after second place in the standings, but with the limited seven runs set for a forfeit keeps them in third place.
