MIDLAKES STUDENT HONORED
Senator Mike Nozzolio recently presented a special New York State Liberty Award to Sara Thompson, a 9th grade student at Midlakes High School, for her activism in helping to convince the New York State Department of Transportation that a full traffic signal was needed at the intersection of Route 96 and County Road 7 in Manchester. Sara was 10 years old when she first wrote to President Bush and Senator Nozzolio about the intersection. Ed: note. This ran last week with some incorrect info.
