Scout Troop 59 - Wyoming or Bust!

A major fund-raising effort is underway for our local scouts so they can visit out West next summer. The troop will be holding several events over the coming months, which we hope the community will support. The following is a timeline of scheduled events:
¢ Hot Dog Sale at Wal-Mart/Newark (Sunday, August 21st)
¢ Pig Roast/Big M Parking Lot (Saturday, August 27th)
¢ Battle of the Bands at The Palace (Friday, September 23rd)
¢ Booth at Scarecrow Festival in Clifton Springs (date to be determined)
¢ Halloween Costume Party (Friday, October 28th)
¢ Wreath Sale (weekends after Thanksgiving and before Christmas - Dippers II Parking Lot)
¢ Fried Dough Booth at Clifton Springs Tree Lighting Ceremony (Friday, December 2nd)
¢ Bowl-A-Thon (February)
¢ Annual Valentine's Day Dinner Dance (Saturday, February 4th)
¢ Fat Tuesday Talent Show and Pot Luck Dinner (Tuesday, February 28th)
¢ Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction (Saturday, April 8th)
¢ Mother's Day Flower Sale
¢ Pancake Breakfast (date and location to be determined)
¢ Boy Scout Yard Sale (May)
Additionally, we will be conducting an ongoing bottle and can drive. Deposit bottles and cans will be accepted for donation at the Clifton Springs United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall on Tuesdays between 7-7:30pm beginning Tuesday, September 13th.
Donations of good usable merchandise are being accepted now for the Yard Sale in May. Please feel free to contact Colleen Parmele at 462-6360 for further information.
