POEM
By LaVerne P. Larson
THIS DAY
This day was made in heaven,
A jewel for you and me,
The angles fashioned it with love
And sweet tranquility.
They took a lovely azure sky
And launched cloud ships and white,
Then bade the merry sunbeams
To shed their golden light.
They found the softest, sweetest breeze
And set it free this day,
To be as gentle as their kiss
While floating on its way.
They whispered to each little bird
To sing his merry song,
And bade the brilliant flowers
To blossom the whole day long.
This day was made in heaven,
Beautiful and rare….
The angel sent it down to earth
For you and me to share.
