SEEN AT THE COUNTRYSIDE RESTAURANT IN THE CLIFTON SPRINGS PLAZA LAST SATURDYDAY

Seventeen month old Meghan Rose Heffron stole the show at the Countryside last Friday. She arrived with her Mom & Dad from Brewerton, N.Y., to visit her grandparents. They all came in the restaurant some time after I did on Friday and sat in a a nearby booth. The grandparents looked familiar to me. After making friends with Meghan with a few smiles and waves, I knew I had to have a photo of her as she is one of the prettiest little girls I have ever seen. She has beautiful red hair which completes the picture.
I asked my Friend, Robin (Dennis-Scott), who was on duty in the restaurant, to bring me my camera from my car (my legs don't work very well anymore). After I finished shooting as many photos as possible I realized that I didn't know the little girl's last name. When I was told that it was Heffron, the light came on.
The grandparents are long time acquaintances. Annie worked with my wife Betty, at the hospital for many years. Ann was active in saving the Orleans water tower and the Heffrons were Orleans residents. They have retired and moved to Prestige Acres to a home more friendly to those of us in advancing years.
It was great to see Jim and Annie and talk about son, Brian, (also a friend) who worked for the Finger Lakes Times for quite some time.
We need to get this photo on our web site where Meghan's red hair will show up. The photo on page 5 is also a very good one.
