Reviewin' the hoopla 'bout Iraq War finds anybody can substantiate anythin' by usin' the right references. Polytics an' war go hand-in-hand, mostly economic rather than a cause. Bush's concept o' spreadin' democracy throughout the world forgets it takes time to overcome bossism an' terrorism involved to get there. Govmint power brokers in all countries, includin' our own, protect their positions an ' perks by various means of terrorism, includin' economic issues.
Pullin' outta Iraq'd create a sizeable blood bath from Saddam's frien's an' Muslims terrorists. Rumsfeld compared Iraq t' Germany an' Japan after WW 2, but Truman overruled those who wanted t' completely destroy both countries, leavin' people destitute. Iraq govmint's terrorism that existed under Saddam prior t' the invasion controlled the country. Another facet not noted is Muslim religion has always been violent, not that Christianity has anythin' t' talk 'about. Algeria had whole communities wiped out by Muslim terrorists. When y' advocate democracy t' terrorists yer eliminatin' their chance fer power, particularly over women. Is our Religious Right headin' in the same direction? Look close, signs are there! Will American women subject themselves t' Muslim tenets? Some already are!
Crux of Iraq is "We'll train police an' military t' fight terrorists." It's proven when someone willin' t' fight another's battle, locals quite content t' let 'em do it. France's govmint collapsed when Hitler came down the pike, Brits nearly lost entire military on beaches. German used non-German troops, who cut an' run when they had the chance. Korea's ROK army was inept, content t' let UN troops fight communists while natives stole anthin' not nailed down, sellin' it on the black market, often t' their own troops. Would they fight t'day when NoKos come crost the border? Don't bet on it! Viet Nam produced the same effect, those trained durin' the day fought our troops at night. People thinkin' Iraq'll be different don't know history nor reality!
Another aspect t' Iraq war our national leaders ain't mentionin' is their ineptitude durin' peaceful times enablin' legislators at state an' federal level t' defer essential military programs. High monkey-monk brass spend money on high tech weapons, usually expensive an' useless in the field. Prime example is armored vehicles warn't up t' snuff. GI's scarfed scrap iron t' armor their vehicles. What'd our legislators do? They held hearin's, brass sed procurement procedures prohibited quick fixes. Dumbest one was a supplier used lobbyists t' remain the prime contractor even though they couldn't produce enough!
Final is "all volunteer army" aspect: The volunteer army is unable t' fight major wars without callin' up reserves. Reserves went t' war with cast off equipment from regular military. End result, lotta kids kilt because of legislators' ineptness. Their kids don't serve, middle class ones do. Above facts were from newspaper reports, third page, bottom column, where it ain't noticed. TV ain't any better. 'Nuff sed?
