Monroe-Gorman Wendy's came out on top for the first found of playoffs. Bats were steady with almost everyone on the team getting singles, and Tesha Parsons adding a triple. Pitcher Tracy Miller had 2 strikeouts and numerous nice defensive plays. Heidi Brague had some impressive "on the run catches" in left field to help aid in the win. Curves came back after being down 0 - 8 at one point. Donna Dedes went 3 for 4 with a double and an RBI. Amanda Rodas and Bobie Ogradoski each had and RBI. Excellent defensive plays held their opponents to ten.


Halfway Haus 26
Patchen Upper Deckers 9

Halfway Haus advances through their first round of the tournament with no problem. Tiffany Scalli belted out two doubles and a single. Wendy Newfrock also had two doubles. Karen Lucas had a triple, double and single. Stacy Steele had a double and single, and Tracy Gilbert added a double.


Mickey Finns 8

Mickey Finns pulled out a close one in their first round. Linda Christensen lead Mickey Finns tonight going 3 for 3, belting out a 3 run homer that put us back into the game. Kim Coffey, Dawn Cornell and Janet Whitcomb also all went 2-3 on the night. Marla Hamilton's single in the bottom of the 6th inning drove in the 8th run for the win.

Thompson Health withdrew a win against CNB during the first round of playoffs. Paula Gardner and Courteney Eddinger each had home runs. Amy Cheardon, Angelica Lynch, Paula Gardner, and Courtney Eddinger each had triples. Great team work and a fun game.
     

McGhan's Pub 21
Clipper / C&C Enterprises 3

McGhans had solid hits as they ended this one early in five innings. Hats off to the Clipper / C&C Enterprises who had a great effort against the first place team.
