2005 4-H HONOR ROLL RECIPIENT - ONTARIO COUNTY
|
Ed Cockram was selected to receive the 2005 4-H Honor Roll. This award was presented to his daughter, Mary Cockram Morse, at the Ed Cockram Lodge, Bristol Hills 4-H Camp, during the summer camping season. He was the Ontario County 4-H agent from 1940 to 1972. During his tenure he oversaw the expansion of the county 4-H program, war time projects, construction of the present Cornell Cooperative Extension building and 4-H camp improvements. Many may remember his chicken barbecues at Roseland Park.
A placque hangs on the wall of the Ed Cockram 4-H Camp Lodge honoring his 38 years of service to the youth and adults of the Western New York area.
