FLCC TO HOST BASKETBALL COACHING CLINIC
CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. (Oct. 6, 2005) - Finger Lakes Community College men's basketball program will host a basketball coaching clinic on Sunday, October 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the gymnasium on the Canandaigua Campus, 4355 Lakeshore Drive.
Topics covered will include: offensive fundamentals, transition offense, man-to-man defense, half court offense, and practice planning and drills. The clinic is geared for coaches of boy's and girl's youth, junior high, and high school basketball.
Clinic speakers are Jay Lauer of Geneva High School, Chris Reed of Rush-Henrietta High School, Phil Gaffney of Mohawk Valley Community College, Bob McVean of the Rochester Institute of Technology, and Richard Jones of FLCC.
The cost of the clinic is $30 with pre-registration and $40 on the day of the clinic. To register, or for more information, call Richard Jones, FLCC men's basketball coach, at (315) 462-7877.
