Sharon Ann Dingman
Loving Mother


      CLIFTON SPRINGS - Sharon Ann Dingman, 56, of 401 Horizon Drive, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2005 to be with her Savior.
      Friends visited Friday, Oct. 14 at the Savannah Congregational Church, in Savannah. A funeral service in her honor immediately followed calling hours. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery, County Road 25 in Phelps.
      She is survived by her husband, Raymond Dingman; sons, Brian and Philip Dingman; daughters, Iva, Genevieve and Joy Dingman; granddaughter, Katelyn; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
      She was predeceased by her parents, Clarence and Mina Gutherie; brothers, William, Arnold and Gary; and sister, Leila.


Kara Lyn Randy Fox-Kesel
Little Angel


      PHELPS - Kara Lyn Randy Fox-Kesel, passed away Saturday, Oct. 8, 2005 at Geneva General Hospital.
      Graveside services were Saturday, Oct. 15 in Riverview Cemetery, with the Rev. Shirley Filiatreau officiating.
      Friends may contribute to their favorite charity in Kara Lyn's memory.
      She is survived by her loving parents, Deanna Fox Heitman and William Kesel, both of Phelps; sisters, Alexis Gabrielle Heitman and Jayden Hannah Heitman, both of Phelps; brothers, Noah Chandler Kesel of Phelps, Larry Paul Kesel of Fayette; aunt, Heather Fox of Glendale, Calif.; uncles, Daniel Kesel of Sodus and Tim (Bar) Kesel of Phelps; maternal grandparents, Randy and Carol Fox of Phelps; maternal great-grandmother, Wanetta Holbrook of Clifton Springs; and many cousins.
      She is predeceased by brother, Isaiah William Fox-Kesel; maternal great-grandfather, James Holbrook; maternal great-grandparents, Myrtle and Edward Fox; paternal grandparents, William and Joyce Kesel; and paternal great-grandparents, Ruth and Robert Scott.
      Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Patrick Funeral Home.



Leonard F. Stoddard
Avid Outdoorsman


      HOPEWELL - Leonard Stoddard, 86, of Spangle Street, died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2005 at Newark Manor Nursing Home.
      Friends called Tuesday, Oct. 11 at the Fuller Funeral Home in Canandaigua, where funeral services were held Oct. 12. Burial will be in Chapman Cemetery.
      Memorial contributions may be made to the Chapin United Methodist Church, the Hopewell Historical Society, c/o Donna Maskell, 2876 County Road 47, Canandaigua 14424, or to the Hopewell Volunteer Fire Department, c/o James Bator, 2893 Spangel St., Canandaigua 14424.
      Leonard was born Aug. 21, 1919, in the family home on Stoddard Road, to the late William and Ethel French Stoddard. He retired from the American Can Co. in Geneva where he had worked for over 40 years in the machine shop. He also owned and operated a water hauling business for 14 years. He was a charter member of the Hopewell Fire Department, a 50-year member of the Hopewell Grange, and a member of the Chapin Church, the Hopewell Historical Society and the Ontario County Fair Association. He also served on the Hopewell Town Board and the Chapman Cemetery Board of Directors. Along with his love of the outdoors, he was an avid bowler.
      He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary Hendrickson Stoddard of Hopewell; his children, John L. (Shirley) Stoddard of Hopewell; his children, John L. (Shirley) Stoddard of Canandaigua, David A. (Jeanne) Stoddard of Reyton, Colo., Jack F. (Sharon) Stoddard and Rick F. (Laurie) Stoddard, all of Phelps, and Gail A. (Paul) Travis of Corning; his grandchildren, Tricia, Denise, Jeff, Jodie, Brad, Alishia, Sarah, Jill, Angela, and Ian; his great-grandchildren, Brittany, Maxwell, Garrett, John Joseph, Veronica, Brad, and John; and his sister, Janice Coon of Stanley.
      He was preceded in death by his sister and brothers-in-law, Doris and Ray Foster, and Raymond Coon.


Susan Kay Polakiewicz (Millspaw)

      NEWARK/SYRACUSE - Susan Kay Polakiewicz (Millspaw), 53, of 460 Ridgewood Ave. in Syracuse, died at the House of John in Clifton Springs after an extended illness.
      In accordance with her wishes, there were no calling hours or services. The family will gather privately.
      Donations may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society or House of John in Clifton Springs, whose staff and services were so appreciated.
      Susan was the daughter of the late Ralph Burton and N. Margaret (Sischo) Millspaw. She was from Newark, formerly of Clyde.
      She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Millspaw of Denver, Linda Janto of Castleton and Carol Finch of Phelps; four brothers, James of Stanley, David of Syracuse, Russell of Sodus and Wayne of Poughkeepsie; several nieces and nephews; as well as many friends, including those from her years of employment at IEC company, the New York State Canal System and the Village of Newark. She will also be greatly missed by her two beloved dogs, She and Gizmo.
      Funeral arrangements were made by the Cheney Funeral Home in Phelps.


Phyllis I. Zeger

      PHELPS - Phyllis Zeger, 80, of Phelps, passed away Friday, Oct. 14, 2005 at the House of John in Clifton Springs.
      Friends called Tuesday, Oct. 18 at the Eacker Funeral Home in Phelps. A funeral service to celebrate Phyllis' life was Wednesday, Oct. 19 at the funeral home. Burial will be in East Newark Cemetery.
      Friends may contribute to the House of John, 14 Spring St., Clifton Springs, NY 14432, in Phyllis' memory.
      Phyllis was born May 14, 1925, in Newark, the daughter of the late Donald and Bernice Cole. She spent many years on the family dairy farm, Sandy Mead Farms, and loved gardening. Phyllis was an avid motorcycle rider and loved her cats and dogs. She was a member of the Phelps T.O.P.S. Club and Farm Bureau for many ears. Phyllis will be deeply missed by all of her loving friends and family.
      She is survived by her loving son, Lawrence (Patricia) Zeger of Phelps; grandchildren, Adam and Jeremy; brother, Paul Cole of California; sisters, Marion Wheaton of East Williamsport and Barb Paulick of Spencerport; and several nieces and nephews.
      She was predeceased by her husband, George, in 2002; and son, John, in 1998.
