Granger Homestead Society announces new Executive Director
|
The Granger Homestead Society, Inc. is pleased to welcome Margaret (Peg) Collins as their new Executive Director. The Granger Homestead wishes to thank Saralinda Hooker, the former Executive Director, for her exceptional service and support of the Homestead. Ms. Collins succeeds Ms. Hooker in her role as Executive Director.
Peg comes to the Granger Homestead from the American Lung Association of New York State, where she most recently served as a Regional Vice President overseeing a twenty county region in Western New York State. She earned her Master's in Human Service Administration from St. John Fisher College in 2002, and is an alumnus and former Board Member of Leadership Rochester. "I have always had an abiding love of history and I am thrilled for the opportunity to contribute to the Granger Homestead's preservation and promotion." Peg lives in Rochester with her husband Tom Guhl, but hopes to re-locate to Canandaigua within the coming year. "Everyone has been so warm and welcoming here. I hope that our upcoming Craft Faire and Festival of Trees will be good opportunity for me to meet many more members of this wonderful community."
