PHIL LOSSIFER

Found Pat Buchanan's book "The Death of the West" fer a buck ninety-five in a second hand shop. Git it, read it, but remember this man's one of our "elitist" people who think liberals are stupid, conservatives are saints an' he's head guru, along with Card an' Bush!
Here's a synopsis of it: He says white race is doomed t' extinction because we ain't creatin' nuff kids, while other, less developed nations are multiple birthin' themselves. Since the world is overcrowded, liberals took up chant large families ain't correct, whites cut birth rate. Meanwhile, less developed countries ain't found that out yet, as the AIDS epidemic shows. They're havin' big famblies fer economic reasons, their kids hafta work. (Horrors if we did that to our kids, right?)
From my view Buchanan's missin' the prime point: Most civilizations perish from within. When Roman's got economically high, the birth rate went down, hadta git slaves fer work. Hired foreigners t' wage war fer them, etc. Eventually Rome fell, as leaders were blindness primrose path, like ours, t' problems.
Here's the bottom line: America is so prosperous our children don't hafta worry whose payin' fer next Big Mac! Dad an' Mom both work because standard of livin' an' inflation make it impossible t' live on one paycheck. Our ostrich leaders bury their heads inta tax cuts an' social program sand hills, an' tax common person t' pay bills. These leaders promote trade programs and tax incentives t' corporations t' move jobs offshore fer bigger profits. Of which rich collect an' give campaign funds t' leaders so's they kin continue livin' high on the hog, leavin' middle class t' bear the brunt of expenses.
The decline of religion shows Christianity will die. People don't attend church anymore: never full in good times, might interfere with tee times. Enough gray hair in church pews makes one'd think they're in a blizzard some Sundays. Young people ain't there!
Immygrant's come here fer one reason, t' make money!!! Money needed t' help back home! However, our leaders an' social people say let 'me in, provide 'em with subsistence programs like medical help an' schools. Heaven forbid regular citizens need help. They hafta jump through hoops of eligibility. Illegals come fer the same reason. Employers willin' t' hire 'em, at reduced rates, pocket taxes an' social security deductions. It's a foreign invasion of our country. Social programs designed t' help poor has produced multitudes of people livin' off the dole. Free medical help, food stamps t' those below the poverty line, etc (Which can be arranged).
This tirade kin go on, git the book from the library, ain't worth $19.99 at markdown rack. It's racist since brown races will overpower whites eventually. He says it's our own fault. Boy, is he wrong!!!
By the way, who says our leaders cain't work quick. Passed Schavio law overnight, religious right go the fist payment!! Not nuff sed!

Two Trader items caught m' eye, havin' t' to with candidates runnin' fer office. It isn't unique for candidates t' agree t' a debate, then withdraw for unexplained reasons. This is where problems lie in politics.
People wishin' t' enter political frays must realize the first casualty is fambly. Meetin's occupy much time, an' some are senseless as both sides drone endlessly on miniscule items or reasons. No matter what's decided, many citizens whom don't attend public meetin's, will complain. Personal animosities produce unwarranted accusations.
Taxes: There's always demands or promises t' reduce taxes. No matter the need there's voters who think money is misspent. It takes X dollars t' operate an entity. Voters complain over picayune items in budgets, statin' cuts of nonessential items. Any budget's tax increase is in cents-per-thousand! This doesn't prevent critics demandin' more services.
Economic development is a catch phrase: Which industry will be hurt by increased wage levels, need for services. Many communities' politicians over the past sixty years had agendas discouragin' new businesses. Various methods were used such as restrictive zonin', ignorin' applications, etc. Favors were demanded although it was never open or admitted. These obstacles were meant to protect wage scales for entrenched employers. The good of citizens was unimportant. Friends protected each other.
Let's examine politicians' motives fer bein' elected. Many feel it's their duty t' become involved, only to become enmeshed in the manipulation of others. It's a known fact our state legislature manipulates local representatives through choice committee assignments, dependin' upon party's position. Others think it's t' their economic advantage, while others, t' be frank, have nuttin' t' do, an' git inta politics so's they kin git a name er two.
Biggest enemy t' neophyte politicians is money an' Media. They go hand-in-hand, money buyin' publicity an' Media support or non-support. Although Media supposedly evaluates candidates qualifications, often editorial vendetta's surface in their coverage. Words once set down have an opine of their own dependin' upon viewpoints of writers an' readers.
Editorial messages in Trader vary. Debates are nebulous in nature, since they really don't define candidate's differences. Their structure is usually dictated by participants presentin' hard questions. Outsiders are often excluded under ruse they aren't in mainstream of politics. This prevents inclusion of antagonistic items to the established power base.
Local elections in smaller communities rely heavily on whose whom an' how well they're liked despite qualifications. Polyticians movin' up the ladder become distant to "kooks", cater to their friends. (Kooks are defined as continual complainers)
Finale note: At grassroots level like noted in the Trader, our young are not involved in the system. Phelps and Clifton politicians should invite high school senior participation. We must rebuild our democratic processes startin' at local levels. Their involvement is America's future, their malaise is our demise. 'Nuff sed, this time!
