ISABELLE D. JENSEN RECEIVES AWARDS FROM CORNELL COOPERATIVE EXTENSION
|
Canandaigua - Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ontario County is pleased to announce that Isabelle Doran Jensen, Extension Resource Educator for Human Development has been awarded two awards through the National Association of Family and Consumer Science -- New York Affiliate.
The first award recognizes the Annual Child Caregivers' Workshop Day with the Early Childhood Child Care Training Award, which acknowledges outstanding childcare professional training, addressing the needs of young children, birth to eight years of age.
The Community Partnership Award recognizes the work done on behalf of the Parenting Educational Coalition, acknowledging outstanding community partnership efforts in meeting the needs of families through collaboration with groups, agencies and consumers.
Both awards were given out this past spring at the ACCEE - Association of Cornell Cooperative Extension Employees Conference in Buffalo, New York.
In related news from Cooperative Extension, Ms. Jensen collaborated in submitting and displaying at the poster session for NEAFCS Annual Session in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for the curriculum she and colleagues developed - Parenting the Second Time Around, the national award-winning Cornell Cooperative Extension workshop manual for those who work with grandparents and relatives who are parenting again.
