Clark L. Iddings

      PHELPS - Clark L. Iddings, 70, of 36 Mill St., died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2005 at his home.
      Friends called Thursday, Nov. 17 at the Cheney Funeral Home, in Phelps.
      A funeral service was Friday, Nov. 18 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Lynn Spence officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery with military honors.
      Mr. Iddings was born Nov. 13, 1935, in Phelps, the son of the late Earnest and Jessie Bement Iddings. He was a Navy veteran serving on the USS Saratoga. Mr. Iddings retired from the town of Pittsford after 33 years of service.
      He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Donna Iddings; daughter, Jeanne (George) Davis of Phelps; son, Stephen Iddings of Pittsford; grandson, Jason Hughson; sisters and brothers, Elaine (Gilbert) Ellis of Sodus, Virginia Babcock of Florida, Gary (Alice) Iddings of Newark and Bonnie (David) Opdyke of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.


John P. Reubens

      NEWARK - John P. Reubens, 82, entered into rest Friday, Nov. 11, 2005.
      Friends and family called at the Stevens Funeral Home in Marion, where a funeral service immediately followed. Interment will be in Marion Cemetery.
      Donations may be made to the Hospice of Rochester, Lifetime Care, 3111 Winton Road South, Rochester 14623.
      John was born July 9, 1923, in Manchester, the son of Peter and Flora Smith Reubens. He was a World War II veteran of the Marines. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 1 in Albany. He worked at Jackson & Perkins for 23 years and CH Stewart for 20 y ears.
      He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Esther; daughter, Carol (Duane) Keukelaar of Fairport; son, Donald (Dorothy) VanEnwyck of Newark; grandchildren, Richard, Anne, John Keukelaar and Donald K. VanEnwyck; two great-grandchildren, Richard Jr. and Donovan Keukelaar; stepsister, Ila Keukelaar of Newark; sisters-in-law, Beatrice (Fred) Ross of Marion and Marian Hadlock of Webster; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
      He was predeceased by his sister, Caroline VandeWalle; and grandchildren, Shawn and Kimberly Keukelaar.


Valerie S. Schmidtka

      CLIFTON SPRINGS - Valerie S. Schmidtka of Clifton Springs passed away Friday, Nov. 11, 2005.
      A memorial service was Saturday, Nov. 19 at the Clifton Springs Baptist Church.
      Contributions in her memory may be made to the St. Felix Church Food Cupboard in Clifton Springs.
      Valerie was a member of the United Methodist Church of Canandaigua.
      She is survived by her parents, Eugene and Geneva Schmidtka of Canandaigua; two sisters, Teresa (Donald) Shaffer and Dawn (Paul) Norton, both of Clifton Springs; two nieces; and two nephews.
      Arrangements were by Sainsbury Funeral Home in Shortsville.


Sally Storms

      OAKS CORNERS - Sally Storms, 90, formerly of Cross Road, died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2005 at Geneva General Hospital.
      Friends were invited to a graveside service on Monday, Nov. 21 in Resthaven Cemetery with Elder Elmer Millard officiating.
      Sally was a partner with her husband, Clinton, who died in 1997, at the Midway Mart in Oaks Corners, which they operated for 27 years.
      She is survived by many nieces, nephews and many friends.
      Funeral services were arranged by the Cheney Funeral Home in Phelps.


Martin "Marty" Granger Weld

      BREVARD, N.C./CLIFTON SPRINGS - Martin "Marty" Granger Weld, 56, crossed over to his next great adventure on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005 from his residence on Probart St., Brevard.
      He was born May 29, 1949 in Clifton Springs to Robert and Doreen Weld. He was educated in Clifton Springs at "The School of Hard Knocks." He served his country in the U.S. Navy Stateside and Worldwide.
      He is survived by one son, Ryan Weld of Brevard; his father, Robert Weld of Titusville, Fla.; one brother, Eric Weld and wife Julie of Cape Canaveral, Fla.; one sister, Kathryn Meindertsma and husband, Al of Titusville, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
      Marty was preceded in death by his mother, Doreen.
      Marty was an excellent carpenter and helped build many fine homes in both Transylvania and Henderson counties. One of his great skills was the ability to teach young people the carpentry trade.
      Marty has resided in Brevard for the past 27 years. A large family of friends and animals will miss his generous heart and mischievous grin.
