RECIPE OF THE WEEK

Steak Sandwich
2 12-14 ounce N.Y. strip steaks
4 slices good country bread
1 cup mayonnaise
2-3 Tbs wasabi paste
4 cups sliced mushrooms
2 bags baby spinach
olive oil
salt and pepper to taste
sweet potato chips for garnish
Season the steak with salt and pepper and grill it to your liking. While the steak's grilling, toss the sliced mushrooms with some olive oil and throw 'em into a hot grill basket. When the steak's done, pull it off the grill and let it rest for 4 - 5 minutes before you slice it for the sandwich. Mix the wasabi paste with the mayonnaise. When the mushrooms are almost done, throw in the spinach and cook it until it's wilted. Put a generous amount of wasabi mayonnaise on the slices of bread and then thinly slice the steaks and assemble the sandwich by dividing the meat on top of the bread and topping it with the grilled mushrooms and spinach. Serve this sandwichwith some crunchy sweet potato chips if you like!
