Poem of the Week
|
By Ralph J. Adams DAILY GUIDE
I know I am old and in my Golden Years
Has my time on earth been in vain
Did I accomplish what a man should to
Did I follow the Golden Rule.
Many paths and journeys in my life
I had come to a fork in the road,
I had a companion to help me decide,
For God was walking by my side.
I have no regrets as you can see,
I have a lovely wife and a great family,
They helped me climb the steepest hills.
And walk that extra mile, but still,
I think that I have not completed God's will.
So today, I'll start a fresh new day,
I'll greet a fellow passer-by
With just a smile, or a wave or Hi!
Put a card in the mail to send,
To cheer an ill or shut-in friend.
So God, be my guide I pray,
To start out my new born day,
And I will walk with Pride,
As I know God will be at my side.
