Hello :)
Heather from Big brothers big sisters here, We entered Ontario county
at the begining of last yr with a waiting list of 140 middle schoolers
in need of a mentor. I have had success matching in Canandaigua, Marcus
whitman and Geneva. But Midlakes seems so hard for me to reach. I just
moved into the county and the small towns of phelps and clifton springs
are very foreign to me. we have 30 kids in our afterschool program in
midlakes waiting to be matched with big brothers and sisters. They ask
every week!! "when do I get a big" but I am unable to find adult
volunteers in the area who want to be a mentor. Is there anyway your
paper could help us out??
