FLCC HOSTS COLLEGE PLANNING WORKSHOP FOR PARENTS OF HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS AND JUNIORS
CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. (Jan. 17, 2006) - Finger Lakes Community College will host a free Parents College Workshop for parents of high school seniors and juniors. The event, entitled Demystifying the Financial Aid Process, will first take place Monday, Feb. 13, at 6:00 p.m. at the College's Newark Extension Center, 111 Drumlin Court. The workshop will be repeated Wednesday, March 8, at 6:30 p.m. at FLCC's Canandaigua campus, 4355 Lakeshore Drive.
FLCC financial aid professionals will walk participants through the process of applying for aid in a logical and easy-to-understand format. Attendees will learn about necessary forms, when to apply, information that needs to be included on an aid application, and how to explain special financial circumstances to a college.

FLCC ANNOUNCES FALL 2005 DEAN'S LIST

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. ( Jan.26, 2006) - Finger Lakes Community College's Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dean of the College Dr. Thomas E. Topping recently announced the FLCC dean's list for the fall 2005 semester. More than 425 students received this honor.
To be eligible for the FLCC fall semester dean's list, students must attend full time, be matriculated, earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher, and complete 12 or more credit hours successfully.
