Midlakes Students Rate Very Highly at NYSSMA Solo Festival
|
Midlakes scored very well at this past weekend's NYSSMA Solo Festival. Dept. Head Joe Godfrey reports that 38 out of 65 possible students attended. 20% of these students received an Outstanding Rating, which is the highest awarded. 60% of the students received an Excellent Rating, and another 20% received a Good Rating. Some students played level 5 solos, within a 6 level system, 6 being the highest. These students all received A's. Mr. Godfrey was proud to be able to say: "The bottom line is that EVERY STUDENT had improved significantly! The musical growth was amazing and truly exciting from my standpoint."
Congratulations to all of our students who participated, and to the teachers who have brought them so far in their school careers.
