BOCES Middle School Students Hold Plant Sale
|
The students of the Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES middle School class set up in a corner outside the gym where voters had to pass them on the way to the polls. The students were selling plants that they had grown, either from seed or from cuttings. The class took over the old greenhouse of Midlakes High School, which had been unused for a long time. There, they learn how to grow and maintain plants. According to teacher Stacie Hemenway, the students truly enjoy the work, and many have quite a talent for it.
