Bloomfield's Gay Elected to BOCES Board
|
The Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES Board of Education announced that Lynn Gay of Bloomfield has been elected to the board replacing David Crystal, also from Bloomfield, who retired from W-FL BOCES board service in June 2006.
Gay has extensive board of education experience and previously served 15 years on the W-FL BOCES Board of Education beginning in 1990. She has served as president of the Four County School Boards Association and has held numerous positions with New York State School Board Association (NYSSBA) including Area 2 Director from 1996 to 2005. Gay was an active member of the Bloomfield Central School District Board of Education from 1983 to 1992. She has been involved with Bloomfield PTA, Genesee Valley District PTA and with both the Bloomfield Girl Scouts and the Seven Lakes Girl Scout Council.
In January 2006, Gay was honored by NYSSBA's Executive Director for her many years of dedicated service to that board of directors.
