James F. Farnsworth
CLIFTON SPRINGS - Mr. James F. Farnsworth, 3, of 63 Prestige Drive, died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2006 at Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic.
Friends called Sunday, Oct. 8 at the Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. The funeral was Monday, Oct. 9 at the Funeral Home. The Rev. Ellen Donnan-Carroll, pastor of the Junius Presbyterian Church, officiated. Burial will be in Mount Green Cemetery in Romulus.
Memorial contributions may be given to the organization of one's choice.
James was born March 24, 1967, in Geneva, the son of Bryon M. and Barbara A. Lerch Farnsworth. He was employed at Petro Shopping Center in Waterloo. He was a past member of the National Guard in Geneva.
He is survived by his wife, Carol A. Vreeland Farnsworth; one son, Eric Farnsworth of Clifton Springs; his parents, Bryon and Barbara Farnsworth of Waterloo; one brother, Byron (Mary) Farnsworth of Romulus; his maternal grandmother, Pauline Lerch of Waterloo; aunts, uncles and cousins and many nieces and nephews.
Teresa A. Cocola
PHELPS - Teresa A. Cocola, 76, of 27 S. Newark St., passed away Sunday, Oct. 1, 2006 at the Wayne County Nursing Home.
Family and friends called Thursday, Oct. 5 at the Palmisano Funeral Home in Geneva. Funeral services were Friday, Oct. 6 at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis deSales Roman Catholic Church, in Geneva. Entombment followed in St. Mary's Mausoleum.

Teresa was born Aug. 19, 1930, in Ovid, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Hazel (Osborne) Griswold. She worked for a period of time at Hulse Manufacturing. Teresa loved caring for her family. She enjoyed cooking, and liked dancing and animals. She was particularly fond of the singer Tom Jones.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Anthony; sons, Anthony (Josephine) Cocola of Texas and Robert Cocola of Phelps; daughters, Suzanne (Bart) Ross of Palm Springs, Calif. and Mary (Ed) Case of Tucson, Ariz.; brother, Robert (Nancy) Griswold of Omaha, Neb.; sister, Doris Covert of Ovid; nine grandchildren, Tammy, Britt, Leigh, Leanne, Brian, Amy, Matthew, Hilary and Trevor; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her brothers, Allen and Norman Griswold.
Paul R. "Pete" Sears
MANCHESTER - Paul R. "Pete" Sears, 75, of Rte. 96, died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2006 at F.F. Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua.
Friends called on Thursday, Oct. 5 at the John C. Johnson Funeral Home in Canandaigua. His funeral service followed calling hours at the funeral home. Interment will be Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery, Fort Worth, Texas.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 595 Blossom Road, Suite 208, Rochester 14610.
Mr. Sears was born in Sweetwater, Texas, the son of C.A. and Grace Griffith Sears. He graduated from Handley High School in Fort Worth, Texas, in 1949. He was an Air Force veteran. Mr. Sears was an avid Yankees baseball fan. He and his wife moved from Manchester in 2001 from Albuquerque, N.M.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Gwen Grove Sears; two daughters, Paula Crawford of Kansas and Karen Knapp of Texas; two sons, Richard (Susan) Sears of Texas and Steven (Laurie) Knapp of Macedon; seven grandchildren, Christopher, Betty, Jacqueline, Cory, Stacey, Ashley and Courtney; one great-granddaughter, Keira; two sisters, Janice (Earl) Wilkinson and Billie Jean Kersey, both of Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Betty Wansley Sears in 1974; and his brother, C.A. Sears, Jr.
Floyd Wright
FARMINGTON - Floyd Wright, 73, formerly of Clifton Springs; died Friday, Sept. 299, 2006 after a long battle with leukemia.
Friends called Sunday, Oct. 1 at Halsted-Patrick Funeral Home in Manchester. Funeral services were Monday, Oct. 2 at the funeral home. Internment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Clifton Springs.
Donations, in Floyd's memory, can be made to the First Baptist Church of Clifton Springs.
Floyd was born Nov. 9, 1932, in Bristol, the son of the late Ross and Ailene (Alford) Wright. In his early years, he was educated in Cheshire Schools and later served in the Korean Conflict from 1952 - 1954. In 1955, he opened Wright's Barber Shop on the corner of downtown Clifton Springs, which he operated for many years with is partner, Alb Lannon. In 1966, Floyd began a very successful 40-year career as a leading thoroughbred racehorse trainer at Finger Lakes Racetrack in Farmington. He also occasionally raced at Penn National Racetrack in Pennsylvania, Saratoga and Aqueduct racetracks in New York.
Floyd owned and operated his 75-acre farm, where he raised thoroughbreds, as well as many other animals. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Clifton Springs, the National Horsemen's Benevolence & Protective Association and a 61-year member of the American Legion in Phelps. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
He is survived by three sons, James (Kathryn) Wright of Victor, William (Linda) Wright of Silver Creek and Steven (Lori) Wright of Clifton Springs; one grandson, Matthew; five granddaughters, Renee, Ashley, Jessica, Brittany, and Emily; two great-grandchildren, Sarah and Christopher Eiswerth; two sisters, Dorothy Colf of Cheshire and Geri Rowley of Naples; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Floyd was predeceased by his brothers, Mortimer and Alford Wright; and sisters, Hazel Bradshaw and Irene Cook.
Clarence J. Lawson
GREECE - Clarence J. Lawson, 82, of Onondaga Hill, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2006 at St. Camillus Health & Rehabilitation Center.
A private graveside service will be held in October in St. John's Cemetery, Clyde.
Born in Greece, he resided in Seneca Falls prior to moving to Onondaga Hill in 1987. He was a TV technician involved with research and development for Philips Corp.
He is survived by his wife, Jean; two daughters, Sharon Wright of Manchester and Kathleen Morel of Harrah, Okla.; one sister, Dolores Malchoff of Clyde; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Robert J. Davies
CANANDAIGUA/CLIFTON SPRINGS - Robert Davies, 53, of Grandview Park, Canandaigua, passed away Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006 at F.F. Thompson Hospital.
Friends called Saturday, Oct. 7 at the R.A. Patrick Funeral Home in Clifton Springs, where funeral services followed. Burial will be in Pioneer Cemetery.
Friends may contribute to their favorite charity in Robert's memory.
Robert was born Dec. 3, 1952, in Kingston, Pa., the son of the late John and Alice Davies. He served his country in the Army and was employed by Waste Management in Rochester. He was a member of the Calvary Chapel in Macedon. Robert will be missed by all of his loving friends and family.
He is survived by his brothers, Bill Davies of Clifton Springs and Tom Davies of Geneva; close friend Sandra Garrison of Canandaigua; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
