WARS POLITICIANS PLAY
By Phil Lossifer
Screaming shells burst around desolate estates,
Men are wounded and die, while old men talk of state.
Muddy fields abound in areas where they stay.
High ground is important while wars politicians play.
The politics of the matter while others talk of peace.
Young men die in battle yet the shells do not cease
This an ordeal young men face over the globe.
Withstanding horrors on distant obscure nodes.
Names and places change while principles remain the same
Screaming shells burst while common men feel the pain.
Survivors await a new day to play the game again.
The talk is endless as shells continue to slay
Politicians promise to end the slaughter's day,
Old men talk, young men die, while war politicians play
